Gary Dillon
A veteran law enforcement professional, and volunteer firefighter, Gary serves as the public safety specialist for Virginia Risk Sharing Association (VRSA).
Gary previously served as deputy chief of police for the Warrenton (VA) Police Department. Prior to that he served as the accreditation program manager at the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, authoring or contributing to best practices for eyewitness identification, auxiliary police officers, human trafficking, and law enforcement usage of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
He is a DCJS-certified general instructor, specializing in promoting the Below 100 Program, workplace violence prevention, active shooter, and a licensed Part 107 UAS pilot.
Gary is also a fire chief at a volunteer fire station in Albemarle County (VA).
He possesses a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration and a master’s degree in public administration.
